Content Editor
The data-driven text editor displays keywords relevant to the author's text as they write to meet user/reader expectations and Google ranks them as relevant to relevant searches. This prevents the author from having to do extensive SEO research. The data comes from a ready-made report, which in turn is based on data from Searchmetrics Research Cloud.
Real-time keyword reach recommendations
In the content editor, the author previews all important textual information, such as titles and URLs, when updating content on an existing website. This text can be added to the text field and optimized for selected themes. On the left side of the content editor are the keywords the text must contain to be competitive. Keywords usage is updated in real time as you type. Keyword recommendations fall into three categories:
- Required keywords are often used in competitor content. Therefore, they are paramount to the topics covered in your text. They must be included in the text to rank well in search engines.
- Featured keywords are terms used by many competitors. These terms refer to the topics discussed in the text, but are not as central as the obligatory ones. However, to create cohesive content that fully covers the topics, they need to be included.
- Additional keywords are less relevant to the topics covered and are not even strictly relevant. However, they can increase the uniqueness of the content. This allows the texts to distinguish themselves from the competition. Search engines reward uniqueness, such as higher rankings.
Content classification
In the Recommended Keywords section of the Searchmetrics content experience, the app shows you in real time how well the recommendations have been implemented. The numbers indicate the number of keywords in the text compared to the number of missing keywords.
In the right column, the content editor shows several scores that measure the editorial success of a text in real time. As a core measure, the content score measures how well the content covers the topics in general. The value indicates the extent to which the briefing recommendations have been applied. It is mainly based on the use of recommended keywords in the content, length of the text and exclusive evaluation by Searchmetrics. The higher the content score, the greater the reach. Opacity increases the chances of the search engine evaluating the text and classifying it as relevant.
The word count score indicates the difference between the word count in a text and the target value defined in the summary. If the briefing was applied to an existing website, the score will also show the difference with the word count of the existing website. The number of targeted words is based on the competitor's average content. This affects the frequency of featured keywords in the content editor.
The readability score is inspired by FleschKincaid's readability tests and measures how easy or difficult it is to understand the text. The value is based on the average number of words in a sentence and the number of syllables in a word. It ranges from 0 to 12. The higher the score, the easier it is to understand the text.
