I have a constant gas connection and I was wondering why the canned solutions run out about 90 days after opening.
Is it safe to use even after expiration?
It's safe, but probably less effective. Continuing to use expired bottles will not remove contaminants from the contacts and can cause problems. If you use expired bottles, it will not cost you any money, as this solution does not clean the glasses as well as the never-ending bottles.

Because they must lose the strength of the properties in the solution. You can safely use the expired solution for about a week after the expiration date. You should talk to your ophthalmologist to make sure it is safe to use. Just call their office.
The chemicals used are weaker and less effective at removing dirt and other debris, so they will not clean your lenses and glasses that have not expired.
