What is the correct spelling: donut or donut?

Candy is made from flour. Beans refer to meat that is once cut and fried in a donut. Fried in the middle is deep and crisp and looks like a walnut. Donuts are fine. Always believe in peanuts. The spell checker doesn't know everything.

When I grew up, they were all donuts. This is a case where language was changed for the sake of simplicity. There really is no need to pile in the middle of a word unless there are some letters that support the magnetic sound of the word.

I mean, the length of the trailer is O why not doubt? The fingers have a long O. Why not spell without words? There is Z in the plaster. Why not do magic? Doubt? It looks like a sack that encloses with a drawstring.

Don't spell correctly in my opinion.

I know this is another British / American thing, but I recently found a donut answer in the Daily Telegraph crossword puzzle. Like Caian, I have accepted both spellings over the years, but I was surprised to see this spelling in British newspapers. Don't we know more?
