I have been in a similar situation, and I have found that the best way to meet people is through people you already have friends with. Participate in any social situation that invites you and be as friendly as possible when you are away. If that doesn't happen, it's still a way to get more involved. Ask your friends at school to go to the bar and ask them to bring their friends (or even better, ask your girlfriends to bring friends). From a women's point of view, this is the best way to meet people, because the element of trust already exists and immediately shares at least one thing.

Another great way to meet people is to join a group or club that interests you. A sorority sports team is always a great way to get close to opposing members (and hey, if you see them sweating, it's easy to take them down, right?) Your book club, movie club, local gym ... It all gives you the opportunity to meet people who share your interests.

I mean, I hate to say that, but it's easy to meet people at the bar. The trick to avoiding all the girls of your choice and finding the guys who are really important to you is to go to a bar that caters to boys like you and stay safe. Big sports fans? Inside the game go to the sports bar. Metal head? Bars and stores always have metal lids. Per? Find out which local bars of Smiths ht are. Drink, get out of your comfort zone and talk to a girl who looks you in the eye.
