Oxycycline is an antibiotic agent used to treat a variety of bacterial infections.
This is called doxycycline. Doxycycline (DCI) (oz [help] / ÂŒdà Â'ksà ªà ‹saà klià n /) is a member of the Tetklin group of antibiotics and is widely used to treat various infections. Doxycycline is a semi-synthetic tactical line that is medically used by Pfizer Inc. Was discovered and developed in the early 1960's and was marketed under the name Vimycin. Vimycin received FDA approval in 1967, becoming Pfizers' first broad-spectrum antibiotic. Other names include Monodox, Periostat, ViTabs, Doryx, ox, Adoxa®, Doxyhexal and Atridox (Topical doxycycline hyclate for Onis).
