Can I use staples to hold popsicles together? 3

I'm making a board game for a school project and I decided to add a popsicle bridge. (I would also appreciate suggestions for cutting this model. At the moment, I am thinking of using some of my sculptures correctly.

I'll use glue instead. Clamps only damage the ice cream stick when they break it while trying to secure it.
