What Happens If You File Taxes Twice
What if I pay my taxes twice? 3
We have submitted our state tax by post (GA) and it has been 6 weeks and they do not have any record yet. We do our federal tax with turbo tax (no problem) and we refuse to report to states like this to save money. Now I think, since they haven't received my sent statement, what if I email it back with a turbo rate? What if my return is filled out later? Will i have trouble
Repeating your state's declaration may be technically incorrect, but if you ask the state, they will tell you to do so anyway. In practice, they will probably ignore one until the two return equal.
The tax advisor presented the amended declaration with some success. The IRS will use it in conjunction with your personal return to get the full picture. This will be a concern if you do not notify your first tax return tax adviser, but if the IRS has a question, they will contact you.
No, you won't have any problems. Any other feedback received will only be rejected and possibly sent back to you.
An alternative is to post another copy. You can send it by registered mail with receipt.
