I was stationed at Kansan Air Force Base in Korea in 197374 and part of my job was to send used tires to Hancock Tire Company for re-reading, assembling and retrieval. I used to run twice a month. I'm not sure what the Korean spelling is, but the person they use is Yongpoku. This is my spelling, and I'm sure Koreans don't spell it that way. I saw the Hancock Company building and three people were tired outside in the morning waiting for it to open with the big rubber rollers. I visited the factory and was surprised to see that the tires were being polished and vulcanized. They are the tires of many companies. They found out in the business world. At the time, Avon Gas Station had an atlas, and they were in Hancock. UHaul also invented tires.
