Our second R zone valve is in the open position. We brought a plumber and he said it would cost $ 800 to fix. This sounds outrageous. He said he would replace the zone valve and put things back together. I was going to explain things in more detail, but when I told him we didn't have much money and we couldn't get him to work, he wouldn't let him work. I guess.

I live in southeastern Pennsylvania. What do you think is a reasonable estimate to replace the zone valve?
